Whitman College has made
Jewett Hall (dormitory, left) available to WOS for the conference
Thursday, June 5, through Sunday, June 8. Due to the limited rooms (85 rooms with 170 beds), it will be important to share a
room with a roommate to ensure space for all attendees. Be
sure to indicate your roommate on the registration form.
Separate sections of the dorm will be assigned for women and men, as
well as for couples. Each person will be provided with linen,
blanket, pillow, towel and face cloth. Each person will be provided
with two keys (building & room; with a $25 fee for each lost key).
Whitman will consider any special housing needs. The bathrooms are
communal with separate men’s and women’s on each floor. There are
no refrigerators or microwaves and the rooms are not air-conditioned. Coffee pots are allowed provided
they have no exposed heating elements and diligence is used to
assure they are turned off. Parking is along the streets adjacent to
Jewett Hall. The rooms must be paid with your registration, and
received by the May 19 deadline.
Cost per Night
$25.00 per person, double
occupancy rooms with two occupants
$33.35 per person, single
occupancy with one occupant
Note: rooms designated for
double occupancy with only one occupant will be charged $33.35 for
the nights only one person is in the room. (Therefore, during the
registration the attendees need to designate number of people in
each room for each night).
Other Accommodations
Due to other events, motel rooms in Walla Walla are very limited
during the conference weekend. If you prefer not to stay in the dorm
at Whitman College, you should make other arrangements as soon as
possible.

Breakfast and Lunch
With the early start for field
trips (5:00 AM), local restaurants serving breakfast are limited. To
accommodate the early schedule, Bon Appetit, Whitman’s caterer, is
offering two options of Box Breakfasts ($10.00 each):
1) Breakfast Sandwich
(egg, ham, cheese croissant, warm wrapped in foil), whole
fruit, yogurt and juice;
2) Continental Breakfast (bagel
w/cream cheese, granola- trail mix, yogurt, whole fruit, and juice).
Bon Appetit is also offering
two options for sack lunches ($9.00 each):
1) Sub Sandwich (ham or turkey

fruit, fruit-nut bar, and juice.
Arrangements will be made to
deliver the meals each morning prior to the field trips.
